The Thunder will make their first finals appearance and first since the Sonics went in 1996. Miami hopes the second time is the charm for the big 3. After losing the first two games in San Antonio, Oklahoma City won the next 4 games to knock out the Spurs. Home court has been very friendly to the Thunder as they have went 8-0 so far these playoffs. The Heat were forced into a game 7 by a Celtic team that did not want to say goodbye to key members of a team that won an NBA title. This series will feature the two best scorers in the NBA, LeBron James and Kevin Durant. Whatever team can find a way to slow either down will put their team in a great position to win. Mario Chalmers and Thabo Sefolosha are very important because they will be responsible for containing Dwyane Wade and Russell Westbrook. Chalmers will need to do a better job controlling the game than Westbrook, which means slow down the tempo a bit. Inside the paint, the Heat have more offense in Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem, but defensively Serge Ibaka and Kendrick Perkins have the advantage down low. The Thunder bench hasĀ  Sixth Man of the Year James Harden and veteran Derek Fisher who has plenty of finals experience. The Heat bench will need Mike Miller or James Jones to provide a spark off the bench and spread the defense with their perimeter skills. These two teams are very even and have a ton of talent all over the court, but I think LeBron will finally silence his critics and get his ring.Heat in 7Warren: Thunder in 7Matt: Heat in 6All eyes will be one the two best scorers in the NBA.Sefolosha’s task is tough, slow down Wade. The return of Bosh will give the Heat an advantage inside.Don’t underestimate what Fisher’s experience can do for the Thunder. Can LeBron silence his critics and finally bring home the hardware that led him to South Beach.
